Here is the Medisoft knowledge-base article to setup Availity.

**EDIT**
This post used to contain a link to the knowledge-base article on how to setup Availity. It looks like it has been pulled, so I removed the link above. :(

You can try changing the communication type to FTP and enter the userid and password on the communication record in Revenue Management. My knowledge on how this works with Availity is limited, so please post back your results.

It did not work. Availity gave us a SFTP address. Are SFTP (FTP over SSH) addresses supported?

It looks like SFTP is not supported. I will double check with McKesson to see. What you can do is set the Communication type to Manual and then launch a better FTP client such as FileZilla Client which is free. Then it is a matter of uploading the file with FileZilla.
