PRIM AGING REPORT PRINTING ZERO $ BAL

Post by tcrave88 » Sat Jun 11, 2016 2:05 pm

v19, NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BEFORE BUT RECENTLY WHEN PRINTING THE PRIMARY AGING REPORT IT IS ALSO PRINTING OUT OLD CLAIMS THAT ARE ZERO DOLLAR AND MARKED DONE. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THEY ARE ON MY REPORTS NOW, OR HOW TO KEEP THEM FROM PRINTING.

Try going to File -> File Maintenance and recalculate all balances.

That did take care of some of them, however I still have many left. Upon researching them I do find that these specific ones have not been marked complete when you apply payment to charges. Is there any way for me to stop them from printing on my insurance aging since they have zero balance? It seems that the only claims that are printing on this current aging also have newer, current balances due. Once the newer claim is paid, that older, zero bal claim doesn't print anymore. This has made my aging go from a three-page aging to a 16-page aging, so I would really like to stop these $0 balances from printing.

By not marking the payment complete, you are telling Medisoft that you intend to continue to work the balance with that insurance and the aging should remain with that payer. If you want to release the balance to be billed to the next payer or to the patient, then you need to mark the payment complete (even if it is a $0.00 payment or denial) so the amount is removed off the aging report and goes to the next payer.
