patient aging report, adding selection field

Post by neptunechiro » Mon Aug 31, 2009 12:00 pm

Hi,

Using Medisoft version nine for two users. When printing patient aging report, it prints all patients with balances, or credits. I'd like to run the report printing balances only as well. However, there is no screening field for balances that comes up in the report. I've tried to edit the report using \"design custom reports\" feature, but that report is not listed as available to edit.

Is there another option other than creating a brand new report from scratch?

Thanks.

The patient aging report is too complicated of a report for the report designer that comes with Medisoft. To edit a patient aging report, you will need Medisoft Reports Pro which is only available for Medisoft v15. Previously, that product was known as Focus Reports Pro for older versions of Medisoft, but Focus Reports Pro is no longer available. If you purchase your Medisoft v15 Advanced or Network Pro from us, we will throw in a version of the aging report that does what you want.

Gavin, thanks for the quick reply.

I went ahead and just designed the one I needed. If anybody is looking to do this, simply create the form under the list template, and use the data fields to add the patient name and then a separate one for patient reference balance. (do this in the details band.)

I also put in page number,(footer band) and date (Header band) using system data blanks.

Also, you can add a title using the text block. (Header band)

Next, edit the form under the report properties heading, data filters tab. Add \"new question\" to limit the patient reference balance. I used 1-999999 but you could use any.

Finally, in the same tab, edit the \"sort by\" selection. I can't remember what it defaults to, but it was something silly. I sorted mine alphabetically by name, but there is a drop down menu that lets you select what you want to use.

This is quite a bit simpler than the included ager, but has all the info that I need. Maybe this quick refernce can help someone if they are facing the same conundrum.

is the Medisoft reports Pro good for versions AFTER 15? I have 20 installed, and 21 ready to be installed. and it's Medisoft Advanced? im looking for a report that can break down (in one report) patient balance or credit, and insurance balance, but listed separately?

Can you tell me where I can get this, or how much it is. Or could someone help me and explain how to create the report on my own?

Click the link above to go to our shopping cart and you can purchase Reports Pro there. If you are not familiar with writing your own reports, then this will not be a good solution for you.

If you can mock up a report, include selection criteria, sort order, grouping, and totals and fax it over to us, then we can write most reports for $180. Our fax # is 417-890-6788.
