Loop 1000A PER05

Post by PPCCA » Thu Jan 05, 2012 12:18 pm

So I can't get through to Support, line is busy. Can anyone help? My claims are rejecting through Gateway because Loop 1000A, Segment PER05 is blank now that I have changed to the 5010 Claim format. I found where to change it in Revenue Mangement: (Configure > Receivers > Header Info) I changed it to add code ED, but it still doesn't pull it on the claim. Is this hard-coded like Segment PER06?

Please help.

If you selected ED then you also need to enter the EDI Access Number in PER06 (the next field down). Try selecting EM and entering the email.

Tried it, and it didn't work. PER05 is still blank, and PER06 still shows as V00114, it didn't change anything on the claim.

I am having that same problem...PER05 is blank, but V00114 still populates in PER06. Has anyone found a resolution?

Are you both submitting to Availity? There is some logic programmed into the 5010 IGuide that isn't valid anymore with Availity. You will need to either modify your IGuide to make it correct with Availity or work with a vendor who can do that for you.

I transmit to Gateway. I don't understand how our clearinghouse is related, this is something that is not able to be edited in Revenue Management no matter what I do.

Since GatewayEDI was never officially supported by Revenue Management, it is possible that an Availity IGuide was modified to make it work with GatewayEDI. The bottom line is the logic that is coded into the IGuide for Availity needs to come out. We provide free GatewayEDI support if we are your preferred vendor at GatewayEDI and you contact us with your site id.
