Notice: Medisoft and Lytec Mobile MUST Be Updated By End of Year

There are many updates, comprising:
• It is now iPhone friendly!
• Performance enhancements to support bigger superbills.
• Patient entry surveys are now customizable.
• Scheduling is now accessible for your mobile devices.
• You can now save superbills with special characters.
• Repaired time out issue when an incorrect password is input.

Not only has eMDs completed all of these updates, but they’re advancing the whole platform to better the general feel. This release will be iPhone, iPad, and Android tablet friendly and it obtains benefit of developments in those platforms. If you are now on versions 1.x or 2.x of the Mobile applications, due to practical limits with these previous mobile platforms you should upgrade before 12/31/2017. You will need to upgrade to the latest application if you would enjoy using these new characteristics. The 3.0 mobile application will be friendly with Medisoft 21 and 22 (future release), and with Lytec 2017 and 2018 (future release).

If you do not intend to upgrade to one of these Medisoft or Lytec releases, but still mean to use the mobile application for the remainder of 2017, then you will want to back up your mobile devices so that you are able to reinstate your mobile application if it automatically promotes to the 3.0 version of the application.

Does only the Mobile app on the iPad/iPhone/Android device have to be upgraded? Does anything on the server side have to be upgrade?

Hi Steve, I am not sure about that. For now I would assume not, but be prepared to install the latest service pack.

Explanation: The download of the 3.0 release is aimed for the end of September. Further, two items are scheduled for release after 3.0, and are not encompassed with 3.0. Those two items are:
• Patient entry surveys are now customizable.
• Scheduling is now accessible on portable devices.

eMDs says they will present Medisoft Mobile 3.0 to the Apple Store/Google Play for download on Tuesday, Oct. 3. You should be able to download the 3.0 application soon after submission.

I lost ability to use mobile app recently. Medisoft Netowrk Professional v.21.2.2.68 Mobile Check Access would say all passed, I'm getting valid api code and key, all green, but when I enter that into the ipad or iphone 3.0, I would get "Alert: Invalid API key or code". Any idea?

I ran 'Diagnose Mobile' and seeing everything green, and Server is reacheable with message "McKesson's Mobile Gateway successfully communicated with IP so and so on Port so and so."

Is this a way to tell us to upgrade to Medisoft version 22?

No, it works with Medisoft v21 sp2.

There is a new menu item to set this up -> Tools -> Services -> Mobile Interface Configuration.

The old setup under Help -> Mobile does not work anymore. If you try to use it, it messes up the other configuration.

Download and install the latest app on all your devices.

With the statement of Attainability of Medisoft 22 and Lytec 2018, the new Mobile 3.1 publication is now obtainable for transfer on the Apple and Google Play shops. Mobile 3.x will function with Medisoft 21 sp2 or greater, and Lytec 2017 hotfix 2 or greater. The new characteristics in Mobile 3.1 will only be supported with Medisoft 22 or Lytec 2018.

eMDs will no longer be sustaining preceding forms of the Medisoft and Lytec Mobile applications (1.x and 2.x) following December 31st, 2017. Please make certain that you have updated your mobile applications previous to this day.

Have you ever wished there was a way to have your patients just put all their demographics and insurance information into Medisoft for you? If they could just type it all in, then the front desk staff wouldn’t have to spend time entering that information or try to interpret all of their bad handwriting. With the new Medisoft mobile app, this is now possible. You simply hand the iPad or Android Tablet to your patient and they enter the information or update existing information and hand it back to you.

Plus it gets better. Imagine the Dr. can enter all charges on an electronic superbill using the mobile app. This is available immediately in Medisoft to the biller, who no longer has to spend tons of time re-keying the information or deal with illegible handwriting on the old paper superbill. And superbills don’t get lost (especially the ones from the hospital). Having all the information already in medisoft makes it so that the biller will be able to submit
