Medicare PQRS

Post by Jamie-PBHP » Tue Oct 25, 2016 4:41 pm

Hi
So we just signed up for Medicare and are trying to find the codes to bill for the physician quality reporting system. I started with our clearing house as to where they go on claim forms (still waiting for CMS to get back to me) and they told us they use the CPT location on claim forms. I think I found the codes online however not in medisoft. Am I going about this the wrong way? Are the codes pre-loaded?
Any help would be grateful. :)
Jamie

Which quality measures are you reporting? Some cannot be reported on claim forms.

That's a good question. I'm still working on which ones we have to use. I found stuff like care plan-047 or depression screening-371 but that doesn't look right to me. I'm waiting on a call back from the PQRS division at medicare to confirm.

It looks like measure 134 NSF 0418 can be reported on 2016 claims. Screening for Clinical Depression and follow up plan.

You will need to setup the appropriate "G" procedure codes and include those on the Medicare and Medicaid claims. Follow the link in my previous post for more details. The fee for these codes can be set to $0.00.
