The sent claims for a patient are not appearing on the primary aging report. I only have claims for one patient under that insurance carrier, so I'm not sure if it's a problem with the insurance carrier or the patient. Any suggestions for criteria to check that might be causing it not to show up on the aging report?

Here are the criteria for what is selected on the Primary Insurance Aging report:
Claim Initial Billing Date 1 <= date selected on the report ranges and not blank.
Transaction Insurance 1 Responsible = True
Transaction Insurance 1 Paid = False
Patient Reference Balance is not between -0.01 and 0.01
Transaction Type < Z
Transaction: Amount + Guarantor Amount Paid + Insurance 1 Amount Paid + Insurance 2 Amount Paid + Insurance 3 Amount Paid + Adjustment Amount <> 0
Some of the criteria are kind of surprising to me. Running recalculate balances can fix this report.

All of the listed criteria were met, but recalculating balances solved the problem. Thanks, Gavin!

I am having an issue with resubmitted or unpaid line items from partially paid claims not showing up on my primary insurance aging report. File mainitenance does not correct the problem. The only thing that seems to get them onto the report is manually reprining each affected claim. Have you heard of this? Is there a fix for it?

If you run the Billing/Payment Status report for that patient, what does that show?

I already figured out which claims were affected, by running the patient aging report and looking for the amounts missing from the insurance aging report. I then reprinted the affected claims and then they showed up on the insurance aging report.

It looks like the problem occurs when I change and electronically resubmit a claim (add modifiers, remove a line item, change the CPT, etc.). It disappears from the primary insurance aging report, and the problem is only corrected by printing a paper claim.
