Medisoft 17 SP1 Through Terminal Server or VPN

Post by sjablonski » Tue Jun 28, 2011 11:22 am

I have been reading multiple posts and wanted to have the following confirmed.
1. You can't use Global Logins on a terminal server without issues.
2. You can't use a VPN connection without issues.

So...how do you use Medisoft remotely?

1. Will any other login work on a Terminal server?
2. Is the VPN issue a result of speed?

I have never seen any PM software that did not have any remote solution or work on a terminal server environment.

Does anyone have any methods around this madness?
:?:

Thanks,

Steve

Global Logins are optional with Medisoft, but unfortunately it was never programmed to work properly with Remote Desktop. So, therefore, we don't use it. It was a great idea, just poorly implemented.

VPN, can work except Medisoft expects a 100 mbps connection to the server. Most people can't get that with a VPN across the Internet.

So, the solution is to use Remote Desktop along with regular logins with Medisoft.

We host Medisoft on the Internet for people, if you need our services.
