Data Corruption

Post by rdeloge » Wed Jun 01, 2011 7:28 am

Setup a new server (Windows Server 2008 64bit) Installed Medisoft version 15 sp2. Currently we have Windows 7 Pro workstations. New server has been in production for 3-4 days when errors started cascading through network to workstaions. Tried running File Maintenance and then database would crash. Had Medisoft IT techs fix database and and it would work fine. We have figured out that if we use Windows XP pro as workstation we have no problem, but as soon as we use Windows 7 we have problems. Any ideas of what is going on so as we can get employees back to work using windows 7?

We know Windows 7 works fine with Medisoft v15. When you install Medisoft, let it install to the default folder c:\Medisoft\Bin. If you install to Program Files, you won't have enough permissions to run Medisoft. You might try enabling or disabling User Account Control. I have seen it work both ways. For example, maybe there is a printer diaglog that only appears when UAC is enabled. Also, you might look at any third-party software that is only installed on your Windows 7 machines.
