Upgrading from V11 to V17

Post by primecare » Tue May 24, 2011 8:22 pm

Our practice recently obtained a new v17 license but have had problems converting our old v11 database to work with v17.

Upon starting up v17, the auto conversion process starts. When the auto-backup is completed, it gives an error saying "All other users must exit the program in order to convert the data." There are no other users (this is a single user license) that have the program open. I've tried using MediUtils to repair the data before converting to no avail. What could be causing this?

I've read that some users have had success by converting to a intermediate version first (such as 12 or 14). Where would I be able to obtain a conversion tool to convert our data to v12 or v14 first, if at all possible?

Thanks!

You can obtain prior versions of Medisoft from here: http://www.medtechsys.net/medisoft/service-packs/. If the data won't convert all the way up to v17, then sometimes a trick we use is to walk the conversion up one release at a time. Sometimes that works, but if there is corruption, you may have more work to do. If you need us to convert your data for you, we can do it for $200.

Thanks for the reply. I just tried converting to v12 but it gives the same error. This is probably a corrupted table right?

Is it $200 flat rate conversion?

Yes, $200 to convert one practice database.
