Revenue Managment For Medisoft v17

Post by mtpj4 » Sat Apr 30, 2011 5:53 pm

When opening revenue management from within Medisoft a box comes up that says

The update policy edits database is effective 08/31/2010 and should only be installed when you are ready to process claims for services on or after that date. Do you want to install it now?

When I click yes I get a error box that says "Revenue Management has encountered a problem...." and it has the detailed information below. Any ideas?

Here is the process that usually resolves this:

1. First Install Medisoft v17 sp1.
2. Then go to Start -> All Programs -> Revenue Management -> Check for Updates. Everyone has to be out of Medisoft on your computer when you do this. Also, everyone has to be out of Revenue Management on all computers.
3. Start up Revenue Management one time to apply the first set of updates.
4. Then go to Start -> All Programs -> Revenue Management -> Claims Editor Update Client

If that does not resolve your issue, then you'll need to work with a Medisoft reseller. This is normally fixed by making a few changes to your registry.

Thanks. I ended up uninstalling Medisoft and clearing all files, registry entries, etc. The clean installation worked afterwards. Originally the doctor's office I'm doing this for had installed a demo version of Medisoft and I think it was still looking at the demo database.

I'll bet it was a bad entry in your registry then. The method you used should have fixed it.
