Version 14 SP2 for 2012

Post by ASHERAROM » Tue Apr 26, 2011 11:18 pm

I got used to the Version 14 sp2, I got used to it's shortcomings and I hate changes. How can make it work for two more years?

Thank you,

Asher

Don't buy a 64-bit Windows operating system and the rest will depend on how you are doing your claims processing. Do you submit through a clearinghouse, direct to payer, or do you send paper claims?

I connect directly to Palmetto GBA via modem.

You'll need to do something by 1/1/2012. Palmetto is switching over to ANSI 5010, but the direct module you are using is ANSI 4010. The best options I see are: 1) Switch to a clearinghouse that can do a print image mapping for you. 2) Upgrade to Medisoft v17 which supports ANSI 5010. We are running a 20% discount on Medisoft right now.

Gavin,
Why not 64 bit, I'm running v16 on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop with less quirks than our front desk 32 bit with windows xp.

There are a lot of issues running Medisoft v14 on 64-bit computers. I am surprised your direct module even works on 64-bit O/S. If you have issues, download XP Mode from Microsoft and re-install Medisoft in XP Mode.
