Statements

Post by bkwrmz7 » Tue Mar 15, 2011 6:54 pm

I am having a problem with patient statements. It happens intermittantly, I cant find a common problem. I will get one line from transaction entry within a case, but the other 3 lines with a remainder do not carry over onto the statement. So out of 4 lines with remainders, only 1 is showing on the statement. However, my statement total DOES reflect the total of all 4 lines. I'm banging my head!!

Are you printing these from Statement Management and do you have the Program Option Print Detail Remainder Statements Only selected?

I create a statement in statement mgmt, remainder not standard. In program options I have "remainder statement detail only" is check marked, "standard statement detail only" is not.

It sounds like this is a custom report. If you use a canned report that comes with Medisoft, do you have the same problem? Try Remainder Statement (0, 30, 60, 90) for example.

If you edit the report in the Medisoft Report Designer and then go to File -> Report Properties -> Statement Type Frame, do you have Remainder selected?

I checked the report designer, it's ck marked as remainder and I cant get any of my canned reports to come out right. And just yesterday I printed a stmt with 3 line items just fine!

OK, now find all the statement management records for this patient. Is the type on all of these records Remainder? If type is Standard, delete all of your Standard records and recreate your statement records as Remainder type records.

You cannot have a mixture of Statement Management record types. If some of the records say Standard and others say Remainder, then you will get strange results like you describe. You need to standardize on all one type or the other. Also, if you need to do a one-off statement, I find it is better to run the statement off the Reports -> Patient Statements menu. Use Statement Management to print your batches of statements.

All of my statements are reminder statements, my practice is to create a reminder statement then print the statment, however I'm still missing line items. Any other thoughts?

Edit the procedure code of a missing charge and make sure "Bill Patient" is checked.
