Error 6420

Error 6420: The 'discovery' process for the Advantage Database Server failed. Unable to connect to the Advantage Database Server. axServerConnect. This is the error I get when I try to connect my workstations to my server. What do I need to do to gain access to my MWDBlist.ADT File?

Advantage Database needs to be running on the server and you need to share the Medidata folder. If you can the share from the workstations and create and delete files on the share, then I would check firewall settings on both the client and the server.

Thank you it was the firewall blocking the traffic to my WIN2008 R2 Server. All set and functioning perfectly
