Problems Upgrading from V8 to 16

Post by Moose » Mon Jan 31, 2011 12:52 am

Using all new hardware I'm trying to get Medisoft to upgrade the software. The upgrade process keeps abort in "TslTrans Field 'Procedure Description' not found. Looking at the v8 MWTRN table there is no field called "Procedure Description" but if I create a new practice in V16 I do see the column "Procedure Description".

Does Medisoft support going from v8.1 to 16 ... or do I need to do a series of interim upgrades with various in between version? I searched the net but could not find anything.

Thanks, Jon.

It should auto-convert, but sometimes there is trouble going from v8 all the way to v16 sp 1 with hot fix.

Some tricks you might try.

1. Install Medisoft Advanced v16 sp1 with hot fix to run your conversion even if you bought Network Pro.

2. Baby step it a couple of conversions at a time. Download Advanced v10 sp2 from our website here: http://www.medtechsys.net/medisoft/service-packs/ and then proceed up to v16 sp1 (or v12 sp2 if you still have trouble.)

If you need us to convert this for you, we charge $95.

am I able to upgrade a practice that is on version 11, and it is Network, to my computer, which is version 20 Advanced, not network? I am getting an error in the middle of it.

I just recently did a v8 upgrade to v20. I needed to go from v8 to v10 to v15 without errors. I would take that route.
