Access Violation on only one workstation on the network v12

Post by planitnm » Fri Oct 01, 2010 11:29 am

We recently had a drive failure and, after reinstalling everything, we now get an Access Violation in Module MAPA.exe error when printing. This happens when trying to print to the printer or the screen. All other workstations are running without issue. Windows XP SP3, firewall disabled.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Try installing a printer on that computer. Medisoft requires a printer even if you only intend to view the report on the screen. Try making a different printer the default printer. Install PrimoPDF if you don't have an actual printer to print to. Also is this Windows XP 64-bit O/S? Medisoft v12 can have trouble with 64-bit O/S.

OS is 32 bit. There is a network printer installed but the default is a shared printer on the computer next to this one. I will try setting the network printer to default on Monday. Thank you Gavin.
