Remote Desktop with Medisoft Advance

We have what I have always called "the single user" version of Medisoft. I support everything at this single doctor practice except the Medisoft, we have a reseller that has always done that.

The version is Medisoft Advanced 25 (I saw your post that 26 just came out so might want a quote for an upgrade...)

Our primary/only user of Medisoft would like to work from home on Fridays and weekends.

When you try to run Medisoft over a remote desktop connection we get the error:

Data files not found
Data is not found. The data path has changed or the server is not found.
Check the server and retry the connection or change the data path.

Details>>Error 5185: Local server connections are restricted in this environment.

Any fix/work around for this or is this a silly licensing restriction or something?

Yes, we CAN fix this for you if you purchase a month of support or buy the upgrade to Medisoft version 26 from us.

We use splashtop to remote to our Medisoft machine off site. Splashtop has worked very well for us for years now.
