Revenue Management Error

Post by jj0331 » Mon Aug 16, 2021 1:10 pm

I just began billing for a Home Health Agency who bills on the CMS-1500 forms and not the UB04 forms. When checking the claims in Revenue Management, they claims error out stating No diagnosis codes specified! I have a diagnosis code entered in Dx 1 field which shows in Revenue Management.

I have removed the edit checks and reran the claims but I am still receiving the same error. I have a claim for another patient and the one is not throwing an error. I cannot figure out what is happening for the life of me.

any assisted would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks!

John

John there can be a number or reasons for this, but it usually boils down to there is not something setup right with the ICD-10 code:

1. ICD-10 code field setup on your diagnosis code
2. Insurance company must be setup to require ICD-10 codes and the cut over date should be 10/1/2015
3. The date of service for the procedure must be after 10/1/2015.
4. You must use an IGuide in Revenue Management that is setup for ICD-10 codes. The MSXXP ... Standard should be the one you are using where XX is the highest number you see in the list. For example if you have version 20, then you will see MS19P, but if you are version 25 then you will see MS25P
