cant close any cases

Post by Dsnooky » Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:57 am

All of a sudden today I cannot "close" any cases.
When I click on "close" it does not hold.
The cases have a zero balance.
I have never had this happen before.
checked my permissions, this isn't the issue either.
cleared windows, did file maint, nothing helps.

Ran another test today. I can't close any case with a zero balance but if a case has a balance I can close it. What is going on?

All payments have been applied in the cases with zero balance. The patient has new insurance and I don't want charges being put in the wrong case.
Can't close it.

Hmm, that is odd. Maybe try backing up your database then run File Maintenance and rebuild all indexes, pack all data, and recalculate all balances. See if that helps.

What is the solution?
We are using V27 and ran into the same fault today. Can't close any cases.

We looked into this further and discovered that a user had selected "Do Not Prompt Again" on the prompt "Are you sure you want to close this case" and then clicked the No button. This caused Medisoft not prompt anymore, but uncheck the Case Closed box every time you tried to save with the box checked.

To fix this go to Tools and select the option to Clear Saved Prompts.

If you do not wish for this prompt to appear, then click the box "Do Not Prompt Again", but be sure to click the YES button.

:D
