Access Violation Mapa.exe

Post by CMright » Thu Mar 11, 2010 12:52 pm

I am getting a error message everytime I open claim management.
Access violation at address 00A7FE57 in module 'MAPA.EXE'. Read of address 00000000

Medisoft v11 sp3. I ran the cms invalid chars.exe it only found 1 entry and we fixed the chart, ran it again and it found no other issues. We still get the same error message.

* : after some further troubleshooting, started the Recalculate Patient Balances. I get Error Invalid Floating Point Operation. all other rebuilds and packing, came back with no errors.

Hi, it sounds like you have some corruption in your Medisoft data. My suggestion is to contact a Medisoft VAR that can do data repairs. We do data repairs and we charge $300 per dataset repaired. McKesson also does data repairs if you contact them directly. If you have a backup from just before you noticed the error, then restoring a backup might be the cheapest option.

Thanks for your assistance in this matter. If we want to have this data repaired, what steps should we take. Does your company take credit cards? Is the cost $300, or $300 + service agreement.
