Add CPT Codes Not Working

Post by mbpros » Tue Dec 03, 2019 8:18 am

I set up a new server (domain controller, second DC that has the Medidata folder and a Terminal Server). From my desktop computer I have no problem running Medisoft, but I get the Unable to Load DLL error when clicking Add CPT Codes.

I checked and the eMDs Connectivity Service is running on my main domain controller and my second DC where the Medidata folder is located. I stopped and restarted both services but still the same issue.

Help!

Hi Steve, is eMDs Connectivity Service running on your desktop? It needs to be running on both the client and server.

The only other thing I can think of is the firewall is blocking. Does the ICD-10 lookup tool work? Try allowing eMDs MSL Connectivity Service through your firewall on both the desktop and the server.

The ICD 10 lookup tool is working but not the Add CPT Codes. Doesn't the ICD 10 lookup tool also use the eMDs MSL Connectivity Service?

What ports have to be open on the router for the eMDS MSL Connectivity Service? I don't think it's a port issue but at least my IT guy can check to see if the required ports are open. If that doesn't work, I'll submit a ticket for you guys to connect to me to try to figure it out.

Thanks,
Steve

Is the CPT tool registered for the year 2019? It is supposed to prompt to register if not. We'll probably have to have a technician get on your system and figure it out. It looks like Medisoft connects directly to eMDs via an API. I'll have to find out about ports, etc.

Steve, the DLL it is trying to load is installed with Medisoft. A reinstall of Medisoft should fix it. Also turn off virus scanning in Medisoft and Medidata folders.
