archive error

Post by EHCS » Tue Jan 08, 2019 4:51 pm

When trying to archive old cases I get the following message. (NOTE: i have never archived cases for this provider before).
mwcas: error 5132: The specified database object name is not valid. An object with the same name already exists in the data dictionary.

not sure what to do about this.

It sounds like you need a data repair. My guess is one of the archive tables was deleted out of the practice folder, but it still exists in the data dictionary. There are some tricks to get the table back and we'll want to look at your data to see if there is any archive data that can be recovered.

OK, well I just paid for a data repair on a different practice not too long ago (on the same medisoft software), so i guess it will just wait. We never mess with these kind of things I don't know why Medisoft is so glitchy and data just all of a sudden goes corrupt and then we have to pay for data repair. It gets frustrating. Ill just wait.

It has probably been corrupt for a while and you didn't notice it until you use the archive function. Running file maintenance "might" fix the error and if not probably will detect the error. As always, maintain good backups.
