Medisoft Network professional locking the data files

Post by jjohnson » Wed Jul 04, 2018 9:36 am

Trying to set up a multi-user office one server, two workstations. The license is for 3 users however only one person can open medisoft at a time. If someone is working in the program the other users will get "Data is not Found". So it looks like the files are being locked by the user and the advantage config utility isn't working.

Possibly someone is running Medisoft Basic, Advanced, or Demo? Everyone has to run Network Pro in a multi-user office.

I did clean installs off the V21 disc they had in the office, the license on it was Network Professional. Could there be an issue with the Advantage DB? The systems are Windows 10 Pro,

Server: Intel core i5-4670 8gb Ram w10Pro

Workstation1: Intel core i3-7100 8GB Ram W10pro

Workstation2: Intel core i3-7100 8GB Ram W10pro

Also is there a download for V21 so I can work on these systems remotely with out their physical disc?

As long is you have enough licenses, Medisoft should behave the same regardless of who else is in the database from other computers. You can try uninstalling and re-installing Advantage from here. If you don't have your serial and validation, you can run AdsStamp to retrieve that information first.
