When I working internally on my desktop (connected to my Medidata folder on my DC), if I went to change practice as soon as I would log in I would get into the practice. However, about 2 weeks ago that changed and now once I log in it takes approximately 30 seconds before the practice is available for me to do anything.

I know the size of the Medidata affects things but still this changed suddenly...and I also know it's based upon my internal network (which is pretty fast and good).

I do have an ads.ini set up in the Bin folder and it's set correctly but that's not helping. Any thoughts?

Make sure eMDs MSL Connectivity Service is running.

It is running. Any other ideas?

Do you have a 1Gbps wired network connection? Is that 30 seconds before or after you enter your username and password?

I know it's wired (using Cat 6 to connect to network) and I think it's 1 gbps.....And the issue is after I enter the username and password.

I am finding even desktop computers have both wired and wireless network interfaces included. If the wired network isn't setup right, it could be using the wireless network still. I am seeing about 15 seconds before the password and 15 seconds after the password and my network is only 100 mbps. Do you have Internet access on the computer you are running Medisoft from? It could be calling home and can't find eMD's server. Do you have Medisoft v22 sp1 installed?

Have not installed SP1 yet. Definitely using wired connection on my computer, not wireless....but I have also seen a slower response time opening Medisoft when connecting from my Terminal Server. On my desktop, the login prompt takes only 4-5 seconds...but after entering it it then takes approximately 30 seconds..much slower than before. Maybe SP1 will help.
