Problem Posting 999s

Post by mbpros » Wed Oct 18, 2017 6:40 pm

I use the Common Report Folder as I place all of the clearinghouse and direct payer reports in the Download folder. At times when running 999s, RM cannot find the practice and I get the pop-up Connect, Create or Cancel. The problem is with the 999 I have no idea which practice it is for and so I have to cancel and then archive that report.

Is there a way to look at the raw 999 data to determine which practice that 999 is for? Maybe is the Interchange Control Number listed on the 999 and then I can track it back to the Sent folder?

If not, how can I determine which practice the report would be for in a case like this? And I assume using the Common Report Folder is the correct procedure when billing for multiple practices, right?

Thanks,
Steve

You can try looking at the file with Notepad. It should be plain text although not in an easy-to-read format.
