My IT guys are redoing my network (they virtualized my DC and my terminal servers on Sunday) and since then when I work from my desktop I am getting 6420 errors. Medisoft is installed on my desktop (Windows 10) and the data path is correct as before (//dc02/medidata). But at times when I try to change practices I get a 6420 error (or the data does not exist) so I have to close Medisoft. But when I go to get back in I have no trouble getting in.
Other times I may get the 6420 error when running RM or when running reports...so I have to close RM, and then I have no problem getting back into RM. My DNS entries on my desktop are correct per my IT guys but they cannot figure out why I am getting this error.

A few causes for this include - unused NICs on the server (disable them and restart Advantage), improper DNS settings, or anti-virus.

OK, my IT people thought they fixed it with the binding order for the network cards, but that did not work. If I want your support people to help them, can my IT guys call in for support?
