Post by pmbillers » Thu Jan 26, 2017 11:28 am

My Medisoft got corrupted and i had to reinstall it. After installing fresh copy of Medisoft, i copied practice folders manually from folder backup into new folder but its not loading the practice data.

Are you getting any errors? Can you restore from backup?

Unfortunately we do not have any backup made from Medisoft. When i copy old practice folders in Data folder and try to open that practice, it shows an error that "there is some invalid data in folder". The reason we had installed MediSoft again was that we were getting error that Advantage Server cannot authenticate the user.

Is there any utility that we can use to convert existing practice data from files to new practice?

It sounds like you need to work with a Medisoft re-seller who can do a data repair. If you are on Medisoft v19 or higher, we can usually get you going again for $300. Just browse here and select Repair One Database - Medisoft v19 to v21. : http://www.medtechsys.net/product/medis ... l-support/

My computer was infected with a ransomware called cerber ransomware and files were actually decrypted. I searched on google and found a software called ShadowExplorer (http://www.shadowexplorer.com/) and used it to get a prior version of files before this happened and it worked ..................... I saved $ 1200 (i have 4 practices)
