Claim level date is missing or invalid

Post by sistagirl36 » Wed Sep 21, 2016 1:00 pm

I am trying to send a corrected claim to bcbst. When sending it I get the error back claim level date is missing or invalid. Date must be in the CCYYMMDD format. I am using version 19.

There are a bunch of dates at the claim level, but if you have a date entered into the Injury/Illness/LMP Date field on the Case -> Condition tab, then make sure it is entered MMDDYYYY (no punctuation).

If that is not it, is there more to your rejection message?

There is nothing in the other tabs to remove or fix. Error says: CLAIM LEVEL DATE IS MISSING OR INVALID. DATE MUST BE IN THE CCYYMMDD FORMAT. - []

In Medisoft, what did you have in the Injury/Illness/LMP Date field?

You'll need to call your clearinghouse or payer then. There are at least a dozen dates at the claim level. They should be able to tell you the segment name and field to help narrow it down.
