Medisoft v 20 stops working after updating to Office 2010

Post by sunillalla » Mon Sep 05, 2016 9:29 am

I updated Office to 2010 on server 2008 r 2 and medisoft stops and does not get to the signin screen.
Uninstalled 2010, reinstalled 2007, and uninstalled some of the security updates from Microsoft, but no luck so far.
Appreciate any help

A couple few things to try.

1. You might install the Medisoft v20 hot fix. Even though it was designed for Windows 10, it might work.

2. Reboot your server. The update may require a reboot to finish installing and that is preventing Medisoft from starting.

3. Right-click on the Medisoft icon and select Run as Administrator.

Server was rebooted.

Right-click on the Medisoft icon and select Run as Administrator. Not working

Can I use the hotfix on the server, where the database resides??

Thanks

Although the hot fix is for a Windows 10 issue, it won't hurt to give it a try. Please report back whether it works or not.

I can't remember if Office 2010 has OneDrive, but try stopping that and Lync.

Updated the hotfix, rebooted server No luck in starting Medisoft
Office has One note not one drive.

You'll need to work with your Medisoft re-seller on this one. Here are our Medisoft support options.

Did you figure out what happened or how it was resolved?

My computer did a ton of updates 9/19 in the am and I am having the same issues - office hours works fine but medisoft does not. already tried hotfix, run as admin still freezes the load up.

any resolution?

Sunillalla - this is what I did - Start -> control panel -> recovery -> and then the one in the middle (once you do the recovery the interfaces changes so I dont remember exactly what it looks like or what it says) - I believe it says something like revert to last update, or revert to most recent update (ultimately I chose that option because it made me feel like it wasnt doing a complete recovery, but rather just a recovery to the previous update). Anyways it took about 30 minutes to update/revert back. and Medisoft seems to be working properly - sorry for the grammer etc. hope this helps?
