Payor ID Missing/Invalid

Post by workerbee » Mon Jan 25, 2016 8:53 am

We always hold our claims for a few weeks in January so patients deductibles are more likely to be met already when we bill.

Today is the 1st time I've submitted claims in 2016 - had no problems at all in December, 2015.

Every single claim - Medicare, BC/BS, etc. is rejected for "Payor ID Missing Invalid".

Did something change in 2016 that I don't know about? Any help greatly appreciated!!

(Edit to add: We upgraded everything last summer so as far as I know I have the most current version of software, etc.)

Go in to your insurance and make sure in the EDI tab that the payer IDs are put in. If not you will need to put them in.

The payor ids are all there...the error message even list the payer id. e.g "Payor Id Missing/Invalid - MR028" (Medicare payor id). I tried pulling out just one claim and submitting it and I'm still getting the same error.

Did they tell you an estimate for how long they will be.
