Remainder statements not being created

Hello
I have an issue with one account. Under the statement management, i go in and attempt to create remainder statements. Nothing will create, and there are remainder balances due. My minimum is set at 4.00

I can go to reports and print statements that way but the statement designed for me is not showing up as an option and i can only print out a statement with a balance due, no detail.

I guess the question are how do i get my statement to appear in the list of statements
and also cant i create statements under statement management

any advice is appreciated! Ali

You might try running File -> File Maintenance and recalculate all balances. This is recommended prior to printing any batch of patient statements.

I did do that. It's a very small account so at this point i'm able to print them one by one, under reports then statements and then just including a patient drill down report with the statement for detail. I'll call in after the holidays if I cant get it up / running. Thanks!

Well a common problem is you already have Statement Management records created for the charges in question, but they are "Standard" records, but you are trying to generate "Remainders". If this is the case, you must delete all the Standard records and then recreate them as Remainders. Then you must consistently use one type of statement or another.

We run the "repair payment references" before a statement run. That eliminates a lot of those glitches. Its in the Bin file Medutils.exe
Always back up before running any of Medutils utilities.

Dan, how do i go about finding this and running the "repair payment references"....how do i find the Bin file Medutil.exe

Go to Windows File Explorer and browse to C:\Medisoft\Bin. There should be a file called MediUtils.exe in there. Double-click it.

May also double check that it is not already on a statement. Go to transaction entry for the charge line. Click the black circle top left of the columns. Hit add and go to statement number.
