Converting ICD 10 codes to old codes on receipts

We have converted to ICD-10 codes. All patients have been converted to ICD-10 codes, but when we print receipts medisoft is converting the codes to ICD-9 codes. These patients do not have insurance companies in their cases. They also do not have old open cases.

Is the case marked a cash case? What form are you printing?

Try printing Walkout Receipt (All Transactions). If you have a custom receipt, you'll need to redo your customization based on one of the canned reports that come with Medisoft. Also, the date of service will control whether ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes print.

We are printing Walkout Receipts (All Transactions). We have not checked cash case, because we need the correct diagnosis codes to print. In the case, we only have dates after the October 1, so the date is not the issue. In the patient's case it shows ICD-10 codes until we print the Walkout Reciept (All transactions).....it then converts the ICD-10 to ICD-9.

What do you have filled in the ICD-10 code field of the diagnosis code?

On the transaction entry screen, all the codes in the diagnosis fields are ICD-10 codes. I then hit print receipt at the bottom and select walkout(all transactions), select the most recent dates, and then when the report is created, it reverts all the codes back to ICD-9 Codes. All we would like to do is print an insurance ready receipt as we are a cash only practice and do not submit for insurance. Many of our patients are fine with coming into our office and paying cash if they can submit themselves still, but now they can't send them in because the codes on the reports are the old Diagnosis codes.

Transaction Entry shows the diagnosis code you typed. You must edit that code in the Diagnosis Code List and see what is filled into the ICD-10 Code field to see what will be mapped onto the report.

Also, make sure you have Medisoft v19 sp1 AND the hot fix installed to get the latest patches for Medisoft v19.
