Dos Data Conversion

Post by AdvTechLasCruces » Mon Oct 19, 2015 4:19 pm

Gavin, need help, your previous instructions how to convert Dos 4.1 to V20 are not working for me.
I have installed V20 on the XP Pro PC so now the PC has both versions on it.
The directory for DOS 4.1 is
C:\lcd\ with the Data file named "medilane" within the directory "whom ever set this program used different folder names and not default"

The directory for V20 is C:\Program Files\Medisoft "I just used default"
However during installation C:\MediData was also created.
I've tried coping "medilane" data folder and placing it in the Medisoft and MediData folders but it still gives me the "Files access denied" error.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Robert

Name the folder name back to the way it was when it was working under DOS. If it was C:\LCD then name the folder as such. I don't know why, but this is a requirement in order for the DOS conversion program to "see" the data. As always, backup your data first.

Do not copy the DOS data folder anywhere else, except to make a backup. It definitely does not belong in Medidata or Program Files\Medisoft.

Then in Medisoft go to FIle -> Convert Data -> Medisoft DOS.
