Loop2300 Diagnosis Code

Post by kma2068 » Thu Oct 01, 2015 4:34 pm

We are using V 19. For our ICD 10 claims we cannot find how to fix Loop 2300 Segment HI to change the Dx Type Code from BK to ABK and BF to ABF. Any suggestions?

Yeah, three reasons I can think of that would cause this:

1. You are not using the proper v19 iGuide in Revenue Management.
2. Your ICD-10 codes are not setup right.
3. You did not configure the insurance for ICD-10 codes.

We are not using revenue management. We send electronoically directly to Blue Cross of Idaho clearinghouse usinge a relay program from broyles software (no longer in business). We have our ins companies set to ICD10 w/ effect date 10/1/15. Our dx codes seem to be flowing correctly to our other clearinghouse(although they still accept print format from us & translate it to ANSI for us). Also, we just upgraded to V20 for Medisoft. Do you do a 1 x support fee if we need remote help to fix this 1 problem? For now Blue Cross is taking paper claims but I don't want to do this for any longer than necessary. Thanks :D

I would switch to Revenue Management and send ANSI 5010 claims. You can do this without using RelayHealth. The one time setup fee for Medisoft or Lytec for one practice is currently $150.. There is something wrong with your print-image and/or mapping at the clearinghouse. Medisoft does not have a suitable print-image for ICD-10 claims out of the box.
