Claim Preview Rpt not showing any ICD-10 dx

Post by prosete » Thu Oct 01, 2015 2:59 pm

Using MS v19 SP1.
I had already completed the required ICD-10 mapping and have the effective date set as of today, Oct 1, 2015. First batch of claims sent out, however, did not list the selected ICD-10 codes in the <Diagnostic_Codes:> field of the Claims Preview Report print out. It was blank. No dx codes appeared. Last time claims were sent under ICD-9 (yesterday) had the correct ICD-9 dx codes listed. Both RM files updated and installed to latest versions available.

Is there a step I may have missed somewhere in the ICD-9 to 10 transition?

Actually, if I can verify that the transmit file that went out included the ICD-10 codes correctly, I'll be happy.

How do I identify the outgoinhg EDI file for this claim and where is it located? Then if I see the codes were included in the file that was transmitted, all will be fine and I can ignore their being missing from the Claims Preview Report

Well, in the current tradition of answering my own questions, I did finally get thru to McKesson EDI support and learned the missing ICD-10 codes from the Claims Preview Rpt file is a "known issue" and will be solved with a future RM update patch.

Just in case this helps anyone else...

What you can do is before you hit the second send in RM. Claim preview. Open the tech view. Select raw text. Pull it to a word document and search for the first 3 of the ICD10 Dx code. Earlier today I noticed that the claim report you are talking about showed blank. ICD9 will show ICD10 appears to be blank.

Yep, there they are! Thanks!
I believe I can also do this through Collaboration Compass' Support and Audit Tools tab.

Yeap, a known issue. We told McKesson about this a year ago when we first discovered it. Still not fixed.

Thanks!
So long as the outgoing EDI claims file contains the dx codes (and now I know it does) then all's well and I can wait another year before the fix is in.

Just sent my first Icd 10 batch and noticed the same, diag not showing up on claim preview report but as long as the claim file contains the dx code i won't worry, it seems to be a non issue from what i see above. Ali

I learned that this was fixed by McKesson. Run Start -> All Apps -> Revenue Management -> Check for Updates. You need Revenue Management build 3.1914.15293.382 or higher to have the fix.
