Root Restore

Post by jpr85635 » Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:19 am

I'm using v14 SP2 and have been able to do a successful back and restore, but when I try to do a ROOT restore, there are always open files. The only option at this point is to EXIT.

How do you close those open files to enable the ROOT restore option?

I don't think this feature has ever worked in Medisoft. If you use the backup feature, you can use WinRar to unpack the backup file. If you have a printout of your Medisoft registration, everything else in the root folder can be regenerated after an install of Medisoft.

Even after posting the issue, I couldn't give up on it.

I ended up using Winzip (v11.2 which supports RAR) to extract the data in the ROOT folder and address my issues.

Medisoft was nice enough to include the ROOT backup option...at least there is still some value it that function.
