Medisoft 14 SP2 and Advantage 9.0 64-bit

I thought it time to upgrade our Medisoft server so have built a new machine that I'm running as a test platform presently. Our existing Medisoft server is running Medisoft 14 SP2 and ADS 8.1 under Windows Server 2003 Standard X64 SP2. So, ADS is running in 32-bit mode, but beneath a 64-bit OS, and all works fine.
Just to see how things will work in the future, I installed the 64-bit ADS 9.0 trial. Trying to run Medisoft now displays the following error: \"The Advantage Database Server has been detected. This version of Medisoft requires the Advantage NT, or Netware Database Server to be running.\" I can point ARC32 to a data dictionary and ADS seems to be running fine in 64-bit mode. But Medisoft doesn't seem to agree with it.
I uninstalled ADS 9.0 64-bit, and installed ADS 9.0 32-bit in it's place. After that, Medisoft works fine. Is there a compatibility problem between Medisoft 14 SP2 and the 64-bit version of ADS 9.0? If so, will that exist in Medisoft 15? Finally, is there a reason not to install ADS version 9.1?
Thank you profusely.
