Medisoft v15 will not reduce the charge remainder amount

We have discovered the Medisoft v15 does not reduce the remainder amount on a charge if you delete or adjust the amount of a copay. What we have found is if you enter the charge and copay all at once in transaction entry and then click save, the copay gets associated with the wrong transaction entry number for the charge. When you later go back and try to adjust out or modify that copay amount, the remainder amount on the charge does not get adjusted. Also, some reports may be wrong.

If this has happened to you, you need to reenter your charge - then click save. Reenter your payment and then apply it to the new charge and then click save. And then delete out the old charge and payment and click save.

To prevent this error from happening, click save after entering your charge before you enter the copay and apply it. If the charge gets saved first, then the copay is associated to the correct charge entry number and everything will work.

Medisoft is working diligently to correct this error and will release the fix in Service Pack 1, which is scheduled to be available in late June.
