Some errors occurred during backup. See backuperr.log

At the end of the backup (manual or auto), the above message shows up. The err.log file containes a few files in the relayhealth directory/ACK folder. One is a .BR, .RPT, and .EC file. I am able to open the files with notepad and they look fine. Running Medisoft 12 SP2 network professional. Other users in the office can not log in until the error message is cleared from the screen. Thanks in advance for any help provided.

I have found when you get this error you do NOT have a good backup. This is usually because one or more files were open during the backup. This is possibly caused by EMR or Lab interface software that was running at the time. Whatever the cause, the backup should be run again after all software that could access the database has been shut down.

We do offer a nightly backup service if that would be helpful for you.
