Restore problem

Post by suniloms » Fri Apr 03, 2009 2:15 am

Hello all,

I'm facing a problem when trying to restore a backup in medisoft. It says Please insert last disk of the set. Please help me out of this.

Thanks,

For some reason Medisoft thinks there is another disk to your backup set. When you run a backup, if there is not enough space to store your entire backup on the first disk, then Medisoft will prompt you to insert the next disk so it can finish it's backup.

When doing a restore, it prompts for the last disk first which is where it stores the directory of where everything was backed up to. If you do not have a second disk, then your backup is either incomplete or corrupt. There are ways to recover a partial backup from the media that you have, but I don't know whether that will be useful to you are not. You can work with a VAR to repair your data or you can try to do it yourself using WinZip recovery tools.

We do offer a HIPPA backup service that I think is a breeze to restore your backup from.
