RTE 5159 after converting to version 12

Post by Gavin Walker » Wed Jul 09, 2008 11:10 pm

I found this rather unusual error on a database that was converted from version 11 sp3 to version 12 sp2.

When I attempted to log into the practice after the conversion I was getting this error:
qUnprocessedClaimChanged: Error 7200: AQE Error: State = HY000; NavtiveError = 5159; [Extended System][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 5159: Error encounterd when trying to open a database table. The table is a database table. It cannot be opened as a free table. Table name: mwclc

Upon further examination I found this log in the Medisoft\\Bin folder that showed there was an error during the conversion even though the screen showed there was a \"sucessful conversion\".

Conversion began at: 7/9/2008 9:40:26 PM

Creating Repeat Task table failed
Creating Transmission Batch table failed

Creating Transmission Response table failed
Creating Unprocessed Transactions table failed
Creating Unprocessed Invalid Records table failed
Updating User Rights Failed
Conversion had errors.
Conversion finished at: 7/9/2008 9:42:22 PM

Upon further examination, I determined that the file MWCLC.ADT existed in the version 11 dataset even though this is a file that was introduced in version 12. I determined that there was also many other v12 files mixed in the v11 dataset that did not belong. To determine which offending files these were, I ran MediUtils v12 - Repair Practice Data. Although it did not repair the data, it gave me this log which listed the rest of the files:

Repair Practice Data ...
[Removing bad files]
Could not delete: ARRTT
Could not delete: ARRUT
Deleted file: MWCLM
Could not delete: MWCLU
Deleted file: MWERA
Deleted file: MWPLG
Deleted file: MWPRN
Deleted file: MWRTK
Deleted file: MWTRB
Deleted file: MWTRC
Deleted file: MWTRR
Deleted file: MWUIR
Deleted file: MWUTC

Now all I need to do is delete MWCLC.* (and do the same for the rest of the listed files) out of the v11 dataset and reconvert. The error was resolved.
