Transaction Update Delay

When posting EOB payments to patient accounts we save the transaction, then Medisoft pops us a box advising us it is updating the billing transaction. This has taken as long as 15 minutes to complete before the screen is free to enter the next transaction. What is the best method of controlling this update process or do you have any other suggestions on what would cause this delay?

Hi Tim, we recommend that you uncheck the Deposit Entry options Alert When Claims are Done and Alert When Statements are Done. These only slow down the deposit entry process. Also, if you are busy, Medisoft has a tendency to pop these alert messages behind the main window. This causes the program to appear frozen, but in reality it is waiting for you to click OK on the hidden window in the background. If this happens, you can get these hidden windows to pop to the front by pressing Alt-Tab to switch away from the Medisoft window and then press Alt-Tab to switch back.

If this doesn't help, then we will need to know a little more about the version of Medisoft and service pack level you are using.
