Medisoft Pulling Wrong Referring Provider Name, NPI

Post by scocav » Mon Apr 02, 2012 3:12 pm

MediSoft 17 SP2: When building the claims image file to upload to our clearinghouse, MediSoft is pulling the wrong Referring Provider & Referring Provider NPI from the database. If you look at the patient case file, the Referring Provider & NPI information is correct. ??? Any clue as to why this would be happening?

Hmmm, I can't duplicate your error. Are you using CMS11.exe to generate your print image? We have been setting up most of our customers on Revenue Management.

Thanks. I think we've ID'd the problem. It's not Medisoft causing the problem because if you print the same claim to a paper CMS1500 the information prints correctly.

Then maybe it is a mapping issue at your clearinghouse. That is another reason to go with ANSI claims is there are no more clearinghouse print-image mapping errors.

we are using version 14 still. when we print the claims they are fine. but when transmitted to clearning house box 24j, 32, 33 npi numbers are not showing up at all. Is it just one clearing house having a problem? they insist its on our end

Do you have your EDI Receiver Program File field set to CMS11.exe instead of HCFA11.exe? HCFA11 is the old, obsolete CMS form that didn't do NPIs.
