XP mode font problem with Medisoft viewing and printing

Post by eyedrwool » Tue Jan 24, 2012 3:42 pm

We have Medisoft Version 8 sp 1 reinstalled on new Windows 7 64 bit with XP mode. Also reinstalled same Brother MFC printer we had before. Installed the correct printer driver for Windows 7. But, when I view or print a report or a bill, the font is unusual. It is readable but will present a problem in my electronic claims file or on a claim form. Everything else printed in XP mode is normal. We tried to download the PCL driver for XP but that doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Try setting your screen resolution to 1024x768. Many Medisoft reports don't like the wide-aspect screen resolutions of newer monitors.

No, I have only spent hours upon hours fixing this for my clients. It was one of the goofiest things when we discovered that screen resolution would have such a dramatic effect on the fonts.
