Since upgrading from Medisoft Advanced v16 to v17 SP2 printed bills no longer add a comment to the patients file, and claim manager shows the claims as "Ready to Send" not "Sent". Additionally, no batch or sent date is listed in the claim manager. I have not run statements, so I don't know if the problem is there also. I checked the billing options and the create Statement Billing notes and create Claim Billing notes are both checkmarked, with default codes of SB and IC.
Thanks,
Marty

Are you getting any errors pop up when printing claims? I have seen this before, but usually an error will pop up.

I am pretty sure you will be getting an Advantage error somewhere. The next place to go look is the Advantage error logs to see if something is getting logged. It is kind of involved, so you might want to get with a Medisoft reseller or McKesson to troubleshoot this one.

Hi Gavin,
Can you tell me where the advantage logs are located?
Thanks,
Marty

Yours is Medisoft Advanced, so maybe there isn't a log. It would be on the root of C:\ if it is there. You might try duplicating the error in a Network Pro environment, but you probably don't have an Advantage license to duplicate the error. It is looking more like you will have to bring in outside help on this one.

I think I found the log files ads_err.adt and ads_err.adi at the root level of c:, if either of those will help. Also, The billing runs fine on a second test machine, so the data is probably OK. I also found a bunch of temporary files under ...\users\username\appdata\local\temp\.
Thanks,
Marty

You can try opening the file with Excel or you can install a program called ARC32. You can find the install for ARC32 in \Medisoft\Bin\RCM. Be warned that anything you do in ARC32 is not supported by McKesson and you can certainly shoot yourself in the foot. Make backups!
