Error Setting Up Global Login

Post by idubinskiy » Mon Nov 07, 2011 1:39 am

When I try to set up Global Login users, I can fill in all the user data fine. However, when I add mappings and click save, it gives me the error "There was an error applying updates". If I try again, it says that the user is already mapped to that practice. But if I try to leave the whole Global Login area, it says that the administrator isn't mapped to any practices. So I'm not sure what's going on, and I'm not sure how to get it to work.

Here are a couple of conditions where you should NOT use global logins:

1. If multiple users are using Remote Desktop to run Medisoft off a server.

2. If you are using Medisoft v16.

If you can say no to the above items, then try loading the latest service pack for your version of Medisoft.

Any reason why v16 is a reason not to use it? That just makes me feel like Medisoft is broken software.

Because you get the error that you mentioned above on v16 and the problem was not fixed until v17. :(
