Medisoft v12 Error

Post by helpitbb2 » Wed Oct 05, 2011 10:25 am

When launching Medisoft Net Pro v12 I get an error message that reads,

"Could not create the shared data tables. Please check your settings and try again. Error received: QueryCreate: Error 7200: AQE Error: State = S0000; Native Error =2010; [Extended Systems][Advantage SQL Engine][ISAM]ISAM table already exists. The statement that may be causing the error is: -- Location of error in the SQL statement is: 1"

Then if I click OK I get the following:

"Error 5004: Either ACE could not find the specified file, or you do not have sufficient rights to access the file. The data dictionary file is not found on the server."

If I click OK there it goes to the login page. If I login I get there was a problem with registration and it closes.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Did you get a new computer with 64-bit Windows? Medisoft v12 only works with 32-bit Windows. Medisoft v12 sp2 is required for 32-bit Vista or Windows 7.

Try this. Exit Medisoft and stop Advantage Database. Move all the files that exist in the Medidata share to a backup folder, but leave all of the sub-folders. The next time you start up Medisoft, it will prompt you to create a new root data folder. Create it, and all the files will regenerate. Now, re-enter your registration codes and re-add all of the practices back into the practice list. I can't remember if Medisoft v12 sp2 also required you to reinstall Medisoft on one computer as well.
