ACCESS VIOLATION TOOLS MENU-USER INFORMATION

Post by axolotl » Sat Sep 24, 2011 9:50 pm

Medisoft v17 SP2: Recently converted from v15 sp2 to 17 sp2 and receiving an Access Violation @ Address 0088B689 Mapa.exe Read of Address 00000000 when attempting to print user information from the tools menu. Also, intermittently when saving and closing the transaction window.

I did run the CMSInvalidChars.exe utility and there were no errors. Would you recommend next steps?

Thank you.

Usually errors in the User Information report are fixed by running C:\Medisoft\Bin\Mediutils.exe -> Repair Payment References. When the process is done running, check FixPax.log in the same folder for any missing procedure/payment/adjustment codes that are missing and re-enter them into Medisoft. If the log shows an entry with a procedure code that has random characters, then you have data corruption and you will need to call Medisoft support to fix it.

Thank you so much. I am hoping that it's a matter of missing records rather than data corruption. I will post here again with my findings, either way.
