Loop 1000A, NM 109 for Medicare

Post by mbpros » Tue Mar 26, 2024 10:55 am

With the Change fiasco we have switched to Availity. I have a Submitter ID I use for all commercial claims and have RM configured for that received to use that Submitter ID....BUT for Medicare I have to use their assigned Submitter ID in that field.
So would it be best to just have a separate Medicare received configured for Availity but with the Medicare Submitter ID rather than my Availity Submitter ID?

Thanks,
Steve

Well, the submitter id is really between you and the receiver.

Are you also submitting direct to Medicare? Then you should setup a separate receiver for them.
