Patient count

With the new medicare macra exclusions, I need to find out how many patients we saw in 2017 that have traditional Medicare. Not the number of visits, but unique patients. Is there a report that can do this?

You might try Reports->Medisoft Reports->Plus Pack->Private Pay Insurance Patient Census Detail (Ver 10+).

That just gives you the ones that were created by certain dates. I need to know existing patients also. Is there a way to do patient count seen in a given calendar year by insurance?

It sounds like you'll need a custom report. Sorry about that.
